    Yelm Awarded a $1.25 Million DoDEA Grant to Improve Math

    A five-year $1,250,000 grant from the Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) Partnership will allow Yelm Community Schools to improve learning by increasing technology for students and aligning instructional practices. This project will increase K-12 military/federal affiliated student achievement in mathematics and increase college and career readiness for all students through professional development of teachers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).     Welcome to our New HR Director

    We are pleased to announce Heather Normoyle was unanimously approved by the school board to be our new Human Resources Director starting August 15. Heather comes to us from the Department of Labor and Industries and prior to that she had a distinguished HR career in the private sector. "Heather brings a strong background in Human Resources and an incredibly positive approach to working with all employees," said Superintendent Brian Wharton.
